Do You want to be a Mentor?
As the sport of Triathlon grows and changes, one thing is always the same- getting started in the sport can be challenging mentally & physically, and a little scary. So, this year SBTC is excited to propose a new idea to help with any new SBTC member and/or beginner triathletes- the SBTC Mentor Program. This is an opportunity to be paired with an experienced triathlete to help with you with any questions you have regarding the sport! Maybe you have a phone chat once in a while, maybe you meet for coffee, and it’s up to you and the other person. One of the most amazing aspects to our club is its sheer size and diversity of athletes since the 90′s. Since then, one could only imagine the total number of years of combined experience!
Mentors provide expertise to less experienced individuals to help them advance their careers, enhance their education, and build their networks. The student of a mentor is called a protégé.
To all those interested in being a mentor (experienced triathletes/club members) or those interested in having a mentor, fill out the questionnaire so that Zack and Mike can pair you up accordingly.
